Memory and Concentration
Do you feel that you have a poor memory? You may just have some less-than-effective habits when it comes to taking in and processing information. Barring disease, disorder, or injury, you can improve your ability to learn and retain information. Here are some effective tips for improving your memory:-
Feed your body and mind with the right kinds of foods and enough rest. Make sure you have given your brain the fuel it needs to make it perform at its best.
Repeat the new fact three times silently to and then say it out loud or use it in a sentence. It is most helpful to have facts on a subject of study in the background even after active studying time, seeing the facts occasionally helps the brain review them and imprint them into memory
In order to stimulate brain function and improve oxygen rich blood supply to the brain, daily exercise is very essential. Adequate blood circulation to the brain means, it will function better. This in turn decreases the likelihood of falling prey to diseases that cause memory loss.
Many people sleep late at night and get up early in the morning. However, these improper sleeping patterns can actually disrupt mental focus in all the activities that are carried out, throughout the day.
Meditation involves deep breathing and some visualization that greatly helps in improving your concentration and memory.
Write things down in address books and datebooks and on calendars; take notes on more complex material and reorganize the notes into categories later. Use both words and pictures in learning information.
